Users say AirPods Max is too fast and no battery

Following AirPods and AirPods Pro, Apple launched the headset AirPods Max in December of last year. Since its release, more and more users have complained about excessive battery power consumption after purchasing AirPods Max.

One of the users ( VL_424 ) said in a foreign MacRumors forum: “I have been using AirPods Max since it was launched, and until recently I discovered a battery problem. For example, I took the headset out of the box last night and used 85% of the battery. After about 15 minutes, I put them back in the headset case. This morning, I received an iPhone notification that the headset has only 5% battery power. I did not connect AirPods, and I only used HomePod to play in the room. However, AirPods Max was placed in the headset It’s still awake in the set.” Many users said they have similar problems. Since AirPods Max does not have a power button, it cannot be forced into a low-power mode or turned off.’

Apple stated in its support service document that AirPods Max, which was not placed in the Smart Case, entered a low-power mode after five minutes of inactivity. After three days, it enters the ultra-low power state and cuts off the Bluetooth search; as for the Smart Case, it will immediately enter the low-power mode, and then enter the ultra-low power state after 18 hours. He also said that the battery problem encountered by some users may be a problem with the low-power mode.

However, there are many reports about battery excessive consumption, which may be a software problem. Like AirPods and AirPods Pro, Apple can release the AirPods Max wireless firmware update to solve the problem, but no relevant update has been provided so far.
