5G iPhone 12 rumored to use sensor displacement anti-shake

This year’s iPhone 11 Pro uses ultra-wide-angle, wide-angle, and telephoto triple camera systems, taking iPhone camera technology to a whole new level. According to the latest report from DigiTimes in Taiwan, Apple’s next-generation 5G iPhone will provide sensor-shifted image stabilization for its camera system.

Currently, Apple uses optical image stabilization for the iPhone, which means that components inside the lens are moved to compensate for camera shake. With sensor-shifted image stabilization, the image sensor can be moved inside the camera to compensate for camera shake. There is no significant difference between optical image stabilization and sensor displacement image stabilization, both of which can further optimize the photographing experience.

The latest iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro models now have optical image stabilization on telephoto and wide-angle lenses. However, ultra-wide-angle lenses lack optical stability.
